Resistance to tyranny is fundamental to the Christian faith. From the Hebrew midwives of Egypt in Exodus, to Daniel and his friends in the Book of Daniel, to the disciples in the New Testament, to Jesus himself, we are given examples in Scripture to follow. Whenever the State begins to violate human freedom, then it is the duty of Christians to resist.
