Our Chosen Slavery

It is fine to tell Americans and Canadians that they need to become ungovernable, particularly in relation to the tyrannical powers that always seek to overstep their God-given bounds in their control over us. This is a problem that has needed correcting for a long time in the West. The problem, though, is that Americans and Canadians in general live in rebellion against God. Tyranny always arises and gains strength first and foremost because a person or a group of people refuse to live in obedience to God. Lawlessness with regard to God always leads to slavery under the hands of men. We are currently slaves, because we refused to “worship and serve…the Creator, Who is blessed forevermore” (Rom. 1).

Do you want to be free from tyranny? Then kiss the Son (Psalm 2). Submit to and live in obedience to King Jesus. Take responsibility for your own life, do what he tells you to do, love and worship him in faithfulness, and live to promote his kingdom. There is no such thing as autonomous free will. There is no such thing as absolute freedom. You will either serve God, or you will serve a multitude of false gods. There is no other way.
